One small problem

I might suggest naming the timer in the /scrim alias.  If someone already has a timer going by the name of timer1 used by another script, your found alias would fail to work.

Use a name when you start your timer, like...
timerSCRIM 0 30 msg...

Then stop it with...
timerSCRIM off

Eliminates any chances of such events happening, plus it makes it easier to understand.

Just a helpful hint.
